 Bell, is Ringing Roeder's Door
Skysports are reporting that we along with Leicester have lodged a bid for Luton Town's highly-rated midfielder David Bell.

The cash-strapped Hatters have no alternative other than to sell their prized-assets, with administration resulting in the whole of their squad being put up for sale.

Capable of playing in both central and wide roles, he will add cover and competition for places. Forest and Leeds are thought to be monitoring events

Bell spent some time at Leicester on loan last season, I would have thought the lure of staying in the championship may just give us the edge

 Rumour Season Kicks Off
I admit to liking this part of the year, perhaps even more this year as we have no interest in the Euro Finals.

I just love hunting down the tuth behind rumours, contacting other Webmasters, Journalists and anybody else who I think can help. So far we have been linked with:

Robert Earnshaw
Shola Ameobi (yawn)
Paul Connolly
Peter Ramage
Wes Hoolahan
Freddie Eastwood
Nathan Tyson
James Brown
Matthew Etherington

There are probably some I have not listed, To get two or three of the above would be outstanding.

Earnshaw looks Forest or Sheffield Utd Bound, Ameobi is more than likely out of our price range...Ramage has signed for QPR, Connelly to Derby. Eastwood several clubs involved or interested with Coventry leading that Pack.
We tipped Hoolahan just after watching him in the FA Cup game a couple of seasons back, I still rate this player highly but then again so do managers of other clubs.
James Brown (not the singer) is a possibility, with the connections already in place with his club Hatlepool, that leaves Tyson and Etherington. With Forest going all out for another striker, I feel it is to partner Tyson not to replace him. Etherington will more than likely be snapped up by a premiership club or a side with more money than us.
We will see what unfolds over the coming weeks and will do our best to keep you all informed

 Toronto in the Frame
According to rumours circulating the States and in the UK Toronto and San Jose are chasing Darren Huckerby. It is said that Toronto have first refusal for the wingman's signature.

Huckerby would certainly have two very familar faces to greet him, Carl Robinson and Jim Brennan, two of his previous team mates at City while I am sure he would also know Danny Dicho, Rohan Ricketts and Laurent Robert.

The style and razzamtazz of the MLS would suit Huckerby down to the ground, a perfect end to an outstanding players career.

 Promises ..Heard them all before
Promises, Promises yes Mr Roeder Norwich City fans have lived on promises far too many of them.

If I was you I would be very careful in what and how you say things about and to the supporters of this club.
You breeze in took us up to the lofty hieghts of around 13th, and then get us almost relegated. You shout the odds about players having a losing mentality and promise to sot the squad out,you then get rid of NINE players out of which one and only one was a first team regular. Boy That is really sorting the squad out.. Promise broken

As has already been said many times on many sites etc, you get rid of the one player who stands head and shoulders above nearly every player who has worn a City shirt over the last few years, one who means much more to the fans than you will ever know or likely to feel yourself. Then to belittle this, you say you don't know what all the fuss is about

They have their angles all cock-eyed. Nonsense. I don't know what that fuss is all about.”

Be careful Mr Roeder, one of our past managers made the same mistake of angering the fans and was never forgiven for his remarks by a vast majority. Life could be very difficult for you if you continue to build a barrier between yourself and those wonderful supporters, who you praise and then belittle.

Although your promises and confidence maybe quite high about landing one or two players to REPLACE Huckerby, we have heard all this before many many times. As the old saying goes Actions speak louder than words.

 Ameobi ! Again Yawn
Two Newcastle based websites are claiming that Glenn Roeder is to renew his interest in Shola Ameobi, I have lost count of the times we have read stories like this.

It turns out that Stoke City are wavering on Shola, who has hardly been impressive during his loan spell at the Potters, having only started 3 games at the club, struggling to adapt to Stokes direct method of play.

But the suggested £4 Million price tag may be out of Roeder's reach, I wouldn't mind seeing Ched Evans, possibly brought for a similar figure

Fothingham and Charlton ..Truth or Rumour
All the rumours surrounding Mark Fothingham having been offered a contract and refusing to sign, may just have something to do with Alan Pardew wanting him to help lead Charlton back to the Premier League.

According to the Daily Express

With the cloak of secretcy surrounding Colney, the fans are only left with guessing and rumours, but many times an educated guess and rumour are not far off the mark.

 One Final Chance to
Some ardent City, supporters, are requesting that the many fans of City are given a chance to say goodbye to Darren Huckerby, and that the player also has the same opportunity to say Thanks to the Fans. A thing which has been cruelly denied by the disgusting actions of the manager and the club. Darren has been one of City hereos since he signed and held in such high regard, perhaps more many other City players, they suggest that a friendly is arranged with the proceeds going to charity.

carrowroad.net is fully supportive if this initative and will do anything it can to help and promote.

It would be great if as many Supporters were to get behind this as possible, I personally say let the club know, we are not happy at their handling of the situation.

also email the club demanding this idea be put into action, and don't be afraid to relay your disgust at the handling of the whole debacle, but do keep it clean and abuse free.
