Hartlepool are said to be interested in signing City loanee Michael Rose and with Paul Lambert saying nothing about two of his loan signings, (Rose and Elliot) you have to wonder what is going on.

As committed as Rose was during his time here, there must be question marks over his ability to step up a level, his pace and sometimes positional play left a little to be desired.  Some of the same can be said of Elliot, plenty of endeavour and running but very little to show as a result.  I personally believe that the Championship will be a bridge too far for Rose, Elliot might hold his own, but he could take up space in the squad and team for that matter, what could be better filled.

Reports coming from the South Wales Echo which suggests that Cardiff City midfielder Solomon Taiwo is on his way to Norfolk for a fee in the region of around a £100.000.

Although this little rumour has been doing the rounds of  messageboards, I personally don't hold that much stock into this, with Paul Lambert having a glut of midfielders in his squad, I cannot for any reason see him adding another one.

He has the following to pick from: Darel Russell (If he stays)  Wes Hoolahan, Korey Smith, Simon Lappin, Stephen Hughes, Anthony McNamee, Matt Gill, Tom Adeyemi, Owain Tudur Jones plus new boy Andrew Crofts; should Rusty sign a new contract  that would make 11 players recognised as midfielders.

I would have thought that strikers, defenders and keepers would more in line with what is needed in the squad, not another midfielder, who has struggled to get a start for The Bluebirds.

We have heard a little rumour that Ian Crook, could be leaving the club at the end of the month, to return to Austrailia, as it is believed that his family cannot settle back here in the UK.

We have not heard or seen anything official so once again we treat it as a rumour until confirmed, sadly we had hoped Crookie would be around a long time and perhaps turn out to be a future manager.

We have been passed some truely shocking news,  we stress at the moment that is is only a rumour, and sincerely hopes that all it amounts to.  

Darel Russell has been offered a new city contract but Leeds offered a better one and that he will be moving North.

As we said we are treating this as only  a rumour and suggest we all do,  but as always we post whatever is sent to us direct.   Personally I am not putting too much stock into is, but football is a funny old game and one never knows what will happen.

The Mill starts to get into gear, amongst the latest clutch of rumours are:

Quite a strong one,  surrounds Tibor Tisza  Hungarian, who currently plays as a striker or Winger for Royal Antwerp FC. It is believed that his agent has said; he had agreed terms with City.

Also another quite strong one is that Orient's centre back Tamika Mkandawire is in Paul Lambert's sights, along with Charlie Daniels, a Left sided Defender/ Midfielder, also of Orient.

One player who was said to be a Paul Lambert target won't be heading back to Norfolk, ex City striker Paul Hayes has signed for Preston North End on a Bosman Free.

The 26-year-old  has signed a three-year contract at Deepdale after failing to agree a new deal with Scunthorpe.Becoming the first signing in Preston manager Darren Ferguson's summer re-building programme.
